Open Letter to Elizabeth Lauten, John Boehner, and Stephen Fincher

OK Elizabeth Lauten – You are a federal employee working for Rep Stephen Fincher in the US Congress.

You make embarrassingly inappropriate, inane, and mean remarks to a thirteen year old and a sixteen year old about what they are wearing. When did you become an expert on thirteen year olds and what they wear? The fashion police for teenagers ? Did you study this at Asshole University where you clearly got a degree ? Then to top it off, you write vicious criticism about these two teenager’s parents as poor role models. Yes, you, a paragon of virtue take it upon yourself to provide these two teenage girls to judge how their parents are doing.

Yes, please, “Digital and Media Specialist” , “Communication Director”, and Federal Employee, PLEASE PLEASE tell us how professional you are. Tell us what an ethical and moral  woman you are @DCgopgirl, picking on teenagers and badmouthing their parents to them !

You should resign. The fact that you deleted your comments and apologized says you understand that what you did was unprofessional and distasteful. And paid for by my tax dollars.

Who do I see about a refund ? I want my money back.

<I can’t get my money back?>

ATTN: Speaker of the House Boehner and Rep Fincher: Do you think this federal employee should continue to be allowed to be PAID as a Communication Director ? Is this how low the Republicans are ? Is there NO bottom ?

Obama’s kids are off limits. They weren’t snorting cocaine or smoking dope. They were dressed like teenagers.

At the very least, we should be calling every hamlet in Tennessee. Some village is missing their Idiot.

I suggest Mr Boehner and Mr Fincher send this one home to Tennessee pronto.

We should not tolerate this.  Ask her to go back home and get a job flipping burgers. It seems more appropriate.

‘Try showing a little class’: GOP staffer says ‘disrespectful’ first daughters Sasha and Malia Obama dressed for ‘spot at a bar’

Elizabeth Lauten, communications director for Rep. Stephen Fincher (R-Tenn.), blasted the First Daughters on Facebook for their ‘classless’ attitudes during the presidential Thanksgiving address on national television. ‘Dress like you deserve respect, not a spot at a bar,’ she wrote.

A Republican House staffer ridiculed the first daughters’ Thanksgiving Day outfits ― and suggested the 13- and 16-year-old girls looked like they were heading to a bar.

Elizabeth Lauten, communications director for Rep. Stephen Fincher (R-Tenn.), blasted Malia and Sasha Obama for their ‘classless’ attitudes during the presidential Thanksgiving address on national television. In a vicious Facebook rant, she also scoffed at their “disrespectful” wardrobes, The Root reported.

The teen girls appeared at their father’s side Thursday as he delivered the annual address on national television. Many people joked about their unimpressed scowls, pointing out that even the President is just embarrassing dad to his girls.

But Lauten found the slight eye rolls and smirks offensive.

“Dear Sasha and Malia, I get you’re both in those awful teenage years, but you’re a part of the first Family, try showing a little class,” she wrote in a since-deleted Facebook post, which was quickly screen grabbed by Yesha Callahan, a writer for The Root.

She continued: “Then again your mother and father don’t respect their positions very much, or the nation for that matter, so I’m guessing you’re coming up a little short in the ‘good role model’ department.”

Then, she attacked what the girls were wearing.

“Dress like you deserve respect, not a spot at a bar. And certainly don’t make faces during televised, public events,” she wrote.

Sasha wore a short dress, paired with a long cardigan, mid-calf socks and boots, while Malia wore a mini plaid skirt, sweater and tights.

Lauten deleted the rant a few hours later and issued an apology:

The girls looked bored during the annual Thanksgiving address.JACQUELYN MARTIN/APThe girls looked bored during the annual Thanksgiving address.

“I reacted to an article and quickly judged the two young ladies in a way that I would never have wanted to be judged myself as a teenager. After many hours of prayer, talking to my parents and re-reading my words online, I can see more clearly how hurtful my words were. Please know that these judgmental feelings truly have no [place] in my heart,” she wrote.

She soon deleted that post, too ― and made her profile private.

According to her LinkedIn profile, Lauten has worked for Fincher since February 2013, and served as a press secretary for another Republican, former U.S. Rep. Joe Walsh, before that

Her apology doesn’t hide her true feelings. why did she have to pray and ask her parents for advice if these feelings weren’t already there. she is obviously in a bubble that keeps her from understanding anyone who is defferent from her surroundings.
